Meet Zoe

Hi, I’m Zoe, and I’m the Children and Youth Co-ordinator at St Philip’s.

I am passionate about encouraging and working with children and young people. Through this role I am excited to see our under 18s grow in their relationship with Jesus. It is such a privilege to get to know and walk alongside the group leaders and helpers, and families within the church. One of my favourite aspects of the role is leading Edge, (our Youth Group) which happens Sunday evenings, every other week. We have lots of games, food to share and discussion about Jesus and how faith can be incorporated in our day to day lives!

Children's Work

On a Sunday morning we have three children’s groups:

Age 0 to Year 2

Year 3 to Year 6

Year 7 to Year 11

Throughout the year there are different events and activities going on, such as: Fort Rocky – Stay tuned or contact Zoe for more information.

Serving opportunity: If you are interested in being a childrens leader – please do get in contact with Zoe! She would love to hear from you!

Youth Work

St Philip’s Youth Group is called Edge! We are a community of school years 7-13 (ages 11-18). All within this age range are so welcome to come along! We have a lot of fun with themed evenings such as a pizza night, or pancakes and play lots of games and do activities such as a gingerbread house competition and cookie decorating!

Part of our time is spent looking into the life of Jesus with lots of opportunity for open discussions and a safe space for questions to be asked!

The Youth leadership team also have a Mentoring programme. We love to get to know our youth as a group and individually. We are here to encourage and support our young people in any way we can and help them grow in their faith.

During Covid-19, when we cannot meet in person, youth group continues to meet on Zoom. For more information, please contact Zoe
